Finding out how much couldn't be simpler – typing the car registration number and location into the CarTakeBack.com website will deliver an instant no obligation quote offering the best price from their network of 300 scrap car recycling centres nationwide. Motorists will be offered quotes for both having the car collected and for delivering it to the recycling centre. For example, the quote for a Ford Mondeo in Waltham Abbey, Essex would be £210 if delivered or £170 if collected by an approved recycler. Payment is made by cash, cheque or bank transfer.

When recycling their car, it's vital for motorists to ensure that the paperwork is properly completed and that they're either given a DVLA Certificate of Destruction for the vehicle or that the ownership of the car is properly transferred to the recycler via the V5c registration certificate (log book).
