Next week will see the introduction of London's Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). As detailed in our previous blog post, the Mayor of London has recently launched a van scrappage scheme to help small business owners and charities switch to low emission vehicles in order to avoid the daily charge.

Great news! CarTakeBack is working with Transport for London and vehicle manufacturers to collect and recycle vans being scrapped as a result of the scheme! You'll find us here on the Transport for London website. Anyone participating in the scheme can recycle their van with CarTakeBack, get a great price, free collection and most importantly receive a DVLA Certificate of Destruction.

At CarTakeBack we know the importance of getting an official DVLA Certificate of Destruction when you recycle your car. This is especially true when participating in a scrappage scheme as you'll need this paperwork to receive the funding towards your new form of transport. Those participating in the scheme must use the Transport for London link here to recycle their old van.

CarTakeBack has a long successful history of supporting scrappage schemes, it is critically important that we improve air quality across the UK and we are pleased to support any initiatives which work towards this.
