Since March 2020, varying restrictions and lockdowns across the UK have hit motor businesses hard, but as much as we're able, we're all trying to keep the industry's wheels turning and CarTakeBack is very happy to be part of that effort. We're so proud to have been able to continue to provide the UK with competitive car sales quotes and responsible end-of-life vehicle recycling throughout the pandemic, and now, as this second wave of the virus hits, we are still able to offer our full service, safely, from Caithness to Cornwall.

With driving lessons and tests on hold, car production suspended and dealerships closed, even more areas of the motor industry are now being affected. Even methods of car buying have had to pause, including advertising giants such as We Buy Any Car. With people left frustrated by these closures, it has felt even more significant that we have been able to carry on operating safely; offering free collection of vehicles with minimum face-to-face contact but the same high-quality customer service.

We've been closely monitoring the latest guidance from the Government and keeping customers up-to-date from our homepage. The office-based staff within the CarTakeBack team are all working from home, and those involved in the collection of vehicles are all working within the latest social distancing and hygiene guidelines. If customers have any symptoms and/or are self-isolating, they can let us know prior to the collection date and of course we are working as flexibly as possible during this time to allow for changes in circumstances.

There are other car-related businesses open that you may well need during lockdown - garages and MOT test centres are widely operational, as well as stores selling essential vehicle and travel items such as Halfords. You can still shop for new and used cars online and if you have an old car to get rid of that you would like to see benefit a good cause, our friends over at Charity Car can look after your car donation whatever condition it's in.

We all hope that everything gets back to normal as soon as possible, in every area of our lives, but while we all live through lockdown it's great to be able to offer you our service with confidence.
