The Mirror is a great place to catch up on all of the latest news stories. They also have some great articles about money and motoring. There's some interesting reads about the latest electric vehicles and some great advice on where to buy a used car from.

One of their latest articles gives you some top tips on what to do if your car fails its MOT. Journalist James Andrews tells you about some simple things to check before you take your car for its test, and how much the test should cost. And if your car fails its MOT test and the costs to repair the car are more than the car is worth, he's got some advice on what you can do.

"The good news is that you can get a bit of cash in return for scrapping a car (currently around £60). The bad news is that you need to be careful how and where you do it… “Motorists need to be wary of unlicensed scrap car recycling centres run by dodgy dealers,” said Kathryn Byng from CarTakeBack.com."

The value of your old car varies depending on what type of car you're selling and where you are in the country. You can find out how much your car is worth instantly, and there's no need to worry about getting your car to us, you can arrange to have it collected at a time to suit you.
