Lots of scrappage schemes ran last year that were expected to end on the 31st December, but they have been extended into spring and updated with more amazing offers! There are so many car makers running these offers to get older, more polluting cars off the road, it's great news for consumers and the environment!
If you've got an older car and are thinking about getting a new one, now is a great time to do it because you can take advantage of one of these great scrappage offers, saving you money and getting the air we breathe a little bit cleaner. Here's what scrappage schemes are available for you from the car manufacturers:
Citroën Scrappage Scheme
Citroën are offering customers who trade in their car when buying a new Citroën a £5,000 scrappage bonus on top of the trade in value of their car.
When does the Citroën swappage scheme end?
The Citroën Swappage Scheme is currently available until 31st March 2020
Which new Citroën vehicles does the swappage discount apply to?
Citroën are offering the discount on the following models; C3 Aircross Compact SUV, New C5 Aircross SUV and C4 Cactus Hatch. There is also an offer for a £3,000 scrappage bonus when trading in your old car to buy the C1.
Are you eligible for the Citroën swappage scheme?
The car you trade in must have first been registered in the UK before the 1st January 2014, and you must have owned the car for more than 90 days. The V5C of the car you are scrapping needs to match the invoice of the new vehicle. CarTakeBack are the approved scrap car recycling partner for Citroën but this trade in must be arranged directly with a Citroën dealer.

Ford Scrappage Scheme
Ford are giving motorists who scrap their old car, between £2,000-£7,250 off a new eligible Ford car or commercial vehicle, as part of their New for Old Scrappage Scheme.
When does the Ford scrappage scheme end?
The Ford New for Old Scrappage Scheme is currently available until 31st March 2019.
Which new Ford vehicles does the scrappage discount apply to?
Ford are offering the scrappage incentive on most models, but excludes the Fiesta Trend, Fiesta ST and ST Performance, Focus Style and ST, Mustang, Ranger Raptor and Zetec series.
Are you eligible for the Ford scrappage scheme?
The car or commercial vehicle you scrap as part of the scheme must have been registered before 1st January 2014. You must have owned the scrappage vehicle for at least 90 days. Scrappage must be arranged with a Ford dealership. CarTakeBack are the approved scrap car recycling partner for Ford.

Mazda Scrappage Scheme
Running since 2017, the Mazda Scrappage Scheme - Upgrade Plan gives customers a saving of between £2,500 and £4,000 off a wide range of sub 144g/km CO2 emissions new Mazda vehicles when they scrap their old one.
When does the Mazda scrappage scheme end?

Which new Mazda vehicles does the scrappage discount apply to?
The scrappage scheme incentives are available on the following models; Mazda2, All-New Mazda3, Mazda6 Petrol or Diesel, Mazda CX-3, Mazda CX-5, Mazda MX-5.
Are you eligible for the Mazda scrappage scheme?
The car you scrap must have been registered on or before 31 December 2011 and registered to you for a minimum of 60 days. The new car you buy must be registered to the same name or address as is listed as the current keeper on the logbook of the scrappage vehicle. Scrappage must be arranged through a Mazda dealership and scrap vehicles are recycled by CarTakeBack.

MG Scrappage Scheme
This is not actually a scrappage scheme, but the MG Swappage gives you a minimum of £2,000 swappage allowance when you part exchange your old car to buy an MG3.
When does the MG swappage scheme end?
There is currently no end date stated in the terms and conditions.
Which new MG vehicles does the swappage discount apply to?
The swappage allowance only applies to the MG3, excluding the Explorer version.
Are you eligible for the MG swappage scheme?
Your car must have been registered on or before 31 March 2012. You must have owned the vehicle for at least three months. Your swappage car must be 7 years old or more. Your vehicle must be taxed, in good working order.

Mitsubishi Scrappage Scheme
In an effort to reduce emissions, Mitsubishi are offering up to £4,500 off a new Outlander PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) if you trade in your old car with their scrappage scheme.
When does the Mitsubishi scrappage scheme end?
The scheme is currently available until 27th March 2020.
Which new Mitsubishi vehicles does the scrappage discount apply to?
The scrappage scheme applies to the Outlander PHEV.
Are you eligible for the Mitsubishi scrappage scheme?
Your car must have been registered before the 1st January 2013. The car must have been in your name for at least 90 days before the new vehicle registration date. Scrappage is arranged with a Mitsubishi dealer and all vehicles must be recycled by CarTakeBack.

Hyundai Scrappage Scheme
The Hyundai Scrappage and Emission Reduction Scheme offers customers between £750 and £5,000 off a new eligible model.
When does the Hyundai scrappage scheme end?
The scheme is available until 31st March 2020.
Which new Hyundai vehicles does the scrappage discount apply to?
The scrappage scheme discounts apply to certain types of the following models; i10, i10 PLAY, i20, i20 PLAY, i30, i30 N Line, IONIQ, Kona, Kona Play, Tucson, and Santa Fe.
Are you eligible for the Hyundai scrappage scheme?
Your scrap car must be registered before the 1st July 2012. You must have owned the vehicle for more than 90 days.

Kia Scrappage Scheme
The Kia Scrappage Scheme offers you up to £2,500 off a new eligible model.
When does the Kia scrappage scheme end?
The scheme is available until 31st March 2020.
Which new Kia vehicles does the scrappage discount apply to?
The scrappage scheme discounts apply to certain types of the following models; Picanto, Rio, Sportage, Stonic, and the Niro Hybrid.
Are you eligible for the Kia scrappage scheme?
The car you scrap must be registered on or before the 31st March 2013. You must have owned the scrap car for at least three months.

Toyota Scrappage Scheme
The Toyota Scrappage Scheme offers you £2,000 off a new eligible model
When does the Toyota scrappage scheme end?
The scheme is available until 31st March 2020.
Which new Toyota vehicles does the scrappage discount apply to?
The scrappage scheme discount applies to the Toyota Aygo, excluding the X grade, Yaris Y20, and the Yaris Conventional, excluding the Yaris Conventional Hybrids and Active grades.
Are you eligible for the Toyota scrappage scheme?
The scrappage scheme applies to cars registered before 31st March 2012 and owned by you for at least six months.

Vauxhall Scrappage Scheme
The Vauxhall Trade IT scheme offers you at least £4,000 off a new eligible SUV, when you scrap or part exchange your old car.
When does the Vauxhall scrappage scheme end?
The scheme is available until 2nd April 2020.
Which new Vauxhall vehicles does the scrappage discount apply to?
The scrappage scheme discount applies to certain types of the Crossland X and Grandland X.
Are you eligible for the Vauxhall scrappage scheme?
The trade-in vehicle must have all major components including interior and exterior parts and must be at least 7 years old, and you must have owned it for more than 90 days.

Transport for London Scrappage Scheme
April 2019 saw the introduction of the world's first Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) in central London. As part of the measures to help people affected by the ULEZ, the Mayor of London announced two Transport for London (TfL) scrappage schemes.
TfL Van Scrappage Scheme
The van scrappage scheme helps to support micro businesses, sole traders and charities replace vehicles that don't meet the ULEZ standards.
