It's awards season, we're not just talking about the Brits and the Oscars, there's awards for cars too!

It's been in an interesting time for car makers, we've seen SUVs and EVs increase in popularity, plus a focus on newer vehicles proving safer and more economical. We weren't surprised to see how well the car makers that we are the official partner to, did last year, let's take a look at the recent successes.

Aston Martin

British car maker, Aston Martin, has been known for its luxury since 1913, famously a favourite of James Bond. We're happy to see that they won 'Luxury Car of the Year' in November 2018 at the Luxury Briefing Awards. The DB11 V8 also picked up the 'Best Coupé - more than £50K' award from What Car?.

Sir Eric Peacock who presented the Luxury Car of the Year award described Aston Martin as a “powerful, hugely aspirational brand that is the epitome of luxury”. He went on to say that the brand had “soared into profit, increasing sales by an astonishing 8% in the first half of the year alone… it has been one of the fastest turnarounds and renaissances the luxury industry has ever seen”.
