Arranging scrap car collection
Arranging the collection of your car is quick and easy. After you've accepted a quote for your scrap car, your local CarTakeBack branch will contact you to arrange a convenient time and date to collect your car, and answer any questions might you have.
We'll do our best to fit in with you and most scrap car collections are arranged within a day or two of you accepting a quote. Collections usually take place from Monday to Saturday between 7am and 7pm. But please let us know if you're in a hurry, or you need us to collect your car earlier or later than this, or on a Sunday, and we'll do our best to help.
What happens when you have your car collected
We'll send you a reminder, either a text or email, to confirm the collection date and time that we agreed with you.
On the collection day you'll need to have a few things ready - your ID, car keys, documents (such as the registration certificate) if you have them, and don’t forget to remove any personal belongings and rubbish from your car.
When we collect your car, we’ll help with the paperwork, and sort the payment.

CarTakeBack launched in 2005, and in 2007 began collecting cars in certain areas of the country. The first car collected was a 1987 Peugeot 205! Shortly after, in 2008, CarTakeBack introduced fully nationwide scrap car collection. Collecting cars across the UK, we've even collected vehicles in the remotest of locations like Shetland, the Outer Hebrides and the Isles of Scilly!
