Once you’ve accepted our quote to sell your scrap car, if you choose to drop your car off, we’ll give you a map and directions to your local CarTakeBack branch. There’s no need to make an appointment, just turn up during the branch opening hours, at a time that suits you. Don’t forget to bring along your unique reference number to confirm your details and the price.

Pretty straight forward, but. . . for people who find themselves in this dire situation i.e. having their car scrapped, a bit more info and reassurance would be welcomed.

Applied the night before explained my circumstances and told them I needed to scrap both my cars asap to get my new car they were both then collected the following day with payment in my bank within 2 hours. Very friendly and just an all around great service.

Brilliant, got exactly what they said I would. They won't confirm the amount you are getting until you have surrender the car and paperwork first so that is a bit unnerving. But it all worked out in the end.

All went really smoothly. I completed all details online then received a call within 10 minutes to confirm my answers and to confirm price etc. Car was collected within 2 days and I was paid about an hour after collection. Would recommend.
Easy process booking, but arranged pick up day missed, with no contact. Picked up next day. Few days delay in receiving payment, but eventually sorted.
Quick and easy. I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be paid or the car wouldn't be reported as scrapped to the DVLA, but I was paid within 24hrs and the vehicle has been scrapped. The guy who came for the car was friendly and helpful.
A nice easy service to use. Get your quote, they collect the car, you get paid. Nice! Driver doing the collecting needs to cheer up a bit, but we've all had those days.
