CarTakeBack have been operating a scrap car recycling network since 2005 in the UK. We have a successful history of handling vehicle scrappage on behalf of various parties, including the UK government lead scheme from 2009/10, during which our network handled 60% of the vehicles surrendered, and various vehicle manufacturer lead schemes over the years.
All vehicles scrapped with CarTakeBack are recycled in line with the government’s End of Life Vehicle Regulations – meaning 95% of an end of life vehicle is recycled, recovered or reused – and we have exclusive partnerships with major vehicle manufacturers including the likes of Ford, Renault, Nissan, Peugeot Citroen and Jaguar Land Rover. We also work closely with Defra to ensure that our contracted car makers and car recycling centres comply with the law.
